Mark McLaughlin
Founder & Athletic Development Coach

Mark McLaughlinMark McLaughlin founded Performance Training Center in 2004 and, more recently, Performance Training Center-Endurance. He is a native Oregonian currently living in Portland with his teenage son, Mig. His passion for athletics flourished throughout his teen years and at the College of Santa Fe, NM. He participated and competed on various teams and in a variety of sports, including (list 3). Through his experience, he developed a deep commitment not just to sports, but also to the complete well-being of every athlete. This passion and concern creates his continual drive for self-education in the field of athletic performance enhancement.

Mark completed 2 marathons and 12 triathlons, including the 1/2 Ironman. For the last 5 years, he has competed in regional bike races including the Seattle-Portland bike race, which he completed in 11 hours. He has been XC skiing for the past 15 years.

Mark has been educated and working in the field of athletic performance enhancement since 1997. He has trained over 400 athletes on every competitive level, ranging from Olympic, professional, college, high school, and grade school athletes.

As well as working with individual athletes, Mark collaborates with high school and university-level strength and sport coaches.

Sean Fullerton
Sean FullertonSean graduated from Western Oregon University in 2009 with a degree in Exercise Science and Communications.

While excelling in the classroom, Sean also maintained a stellar career on the gridiron, where he was a 4 year starter at wide receiver. He competed on the All-Academic team for 3 years, made the unanimous first team all-league his senior year, and earned the team offensive MVP award.

Prior to college, Sean attended West Linn High School. There, his outstanding achievements playing both football and baseball gave rise to his lifelong dedication to sports.

Sean has been actively pursuing his passion for training athletes since 2007. He began by strength-training student athletes from West Linn High School in their weight room in 2007. In the summer of 2008 and 2009, he was an intern at Performance Training Center. Daily, he managed the training programs for athletes of all sports, ranging from soccer and football to track and field.

In the summer of 2009, he was a key player in the implementation of Hillsboro High School’s football strength and conditioning program.

Recently, Sean has also worked as a volunteer with Special Olympics, developing the basketball skills of young athletes with special needs.
