THE SCIENCE
The goal of our long-term training process is to improve the athlete’s level of preparation during the off-season/preseason period, and maintaining those improvements during the competitive season. The level of each component of preparedness ultimately dictates the level of the athlete.
Unfortunately, athletes do not perform at a high level during every workout or game. Sometimes they drop balls, slow down, miss a higher number of free throws, and in some cases, sustain injuries.
WHAT WE MEAN BY "PREPAREDNESS"
We define preparedness in two ways:
Physical Preparation- Strength, Power, Speed, Flexibility, Mobility, Rehabilitation, etc
- Technical Preparation
- Sport specific skill. Example: shooting drills for soccer. Free throws for basketball. Positional starts in football. Etc.
Tactical Preparation- Knowledge of the plays, games, etc
- Mental Preparation
Essentially, when athletes are performing below their preparedness, they are simply not ready.
Readiness is purely physiological. It is the state of the body that allows it to be fully able to function at its peak capacity, and affects how athletes are able to display their preparedness in their sport.

We’ve developed a large battery of tests at Performance Training Center, to accurately monitor our athletes’ readiness and preparedness. The multitude of empirical tests that are conducted on a daily basis provide our coaches with and up-to-date physiological snapshot for any athlete. This information is vital for our coaches, so they can optimize the workout session.
Ultimately, this ensures a higher level of performance with every training session, which leads to radically enhanced performance during competitions.
